This month, we’re leaning into connection, remembrance, and care. October gives us space to honor loved ones, show up for our community, and check in with ourselves as the seasons change.

Mark your calendars! We’d love for you to join us for an all-day celebration. The ofrenda will be set up, so you’re welcome to stop by anytime throughout the day to add a photo of a loved one or enjoy a treat.

✨ For those who’d like to connect with our team, we’ll be hosting a staff meet & greet from 4:00–6:00 PM. Kids can enjoy trick-or-treating, and everyone is welcome to share in pan dulce, coffee, and community. Together, we’ll honor those who came before us and create space for reflection, healing, and joy.

As days get shorter, seasonal depression can start to show up. One small but powerful shift: spend a few minutes outside in the morning light. Natural sunlight helps regulate sleep, energy, and mood, a gentle way to support yourself this fall.

As we move into fall and the holiday season, many people find themselves carrying heavier emotions. For some, grief feels sharper this time of year, memories of loved ones and traditions can bring both comfort and pain. Others may notice their energy and mood shifting as the days grow shorter, a sign of Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD).

Both grief and seasonal depression are natural responses, and neither has to be carried alone. Talking about what you’re feeling, honoring your loved ones, or reaching out for support can help bring light into these darker months.
