A Gentle February Check-In

Welcome to February

Because January was a lot.

We stand with our communities.

Over the past few months, there has been an increase in anxiety and panic due to the difficult and scary situations taking place around us. We want our community to know that Grace Integrated Solutions and our staff are here to support those whose mental or physical health has been impacted during this time.

The American Psychological Association has highlighted the many inequalities immigrants face. Not only adults, but children as well. These overlapping challenges place individuals at higher risk for anxiety, depression, PTSD, and other mental and physical health conditions. As one researcher shared, “The body gets tired.”

With that being said, please don’t be afraid to seek support from any of our staff here at Grace. We are here to help in any way we can.

We aren’t afraid to speak up and you shouldn’t be either.

Here in New Mexico, we take pride in the diversity and cultures that shape our state. New Mexico is home to 19 Pueblo Tribes, each with deep history and significance. There were people here before us, and it is important to always acknowledge and respect that.

Happy Black History Month ✨

Did you know that historian Carter G. Woodson created what we now know as Black History Month? What began as a weeklong observance later became a month dedicated to recognizing the origins, struggles, and achievements of African Americans in U.S. history.

2026 marks the 100th anniversary of Black History Month, with the theme:
A Century of Black History Commemorations.

Let’s continue to honor the diversity, history, and strength these cultures bring to our communities.

Shawn and Cindy are currently accepting new clients. If you or someone you know has been thinking about starting therapy or scheduling a follow-up, now is a good time to reach out.

Cindy Espinoza is a master’s-level social work student with over six years of healthcare experience. She provides compassionate, culturally responsive care and is fluent in English and Spanish.

Shawn Bryant is a social work intern and MSW student with nearly four years of experience supporting individuals and families. He offers grounded, compassionate care and is especially committed to increasing access to services across New Mexico.
