Ilyssa is a compassionate and committed therapist with experience working with adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, addiction, domestic violence, neurodivergence, identity exploration and phase of life changes. In addition, Ilyssa is experienced working with foster and adoptive parents, as well as youth who have spent time in the foster care system. Using CBT, EMDR, and Motivational Interviewing, Ilyssa offers a safe space to explore everything and anything. It is her belief that each individual knows themselves best and her role is to guide and support them on their particular path.
Ilyssa earned her Masters degree in Social Work from Arizona State University and a Masters in Nonprofit Management from the University of Central Florida. Prior to becoming a therapist, Ilyssa worked as a Director of Housing, supporting individuals and families experiencing homelessness and housing instability. Ilyssa combines her experience and expertise with a relaxed style, believing that while therapy can be hard, it doesn't have to suck. When not at work, Ilyssa loves to be outside, hiking, camping, and backpacking, as well as spending time with her cats and dogs.
